With the story of Anzac, part of "The Official History of Australia in the war of 1914–1918" (12 Vols, 1942), Charles Edwin Woodrow bean did much to establish the Anzac Legend. His other books include on ”The Wool Track (1910)”, a classic account of outback life. Bean also planned the National War Memorial in Canberra.
